What is the C-Pen 800C? It is a top-of-the-range portable, optical scanner, which enables users to scan a full line of text and see the instant translation of each individual word. It can store up to 2000 pages of printed text, which can then be transmitted to the user's PC, laptop, PDA or text-enabled cellular phone.

Your C-Pen includes one complete 2-way dictionary of your choice. Each additional dictionary may be purchased from the C-Pen website. The C Pen 800C also offers a variety of other useful functions: C Read - collect and save printed text, by using C-Pen as a highlighter to mark the text you want to save. The digital camera captures the text and saves it in C-Pen´s memory as documents that can be transferred to your PC or PDA using cable or infrared (IR) communication. C Direct - copy text from a paper source via C-Pen directly to the cursor position on your PC screen. Your C-Pen acts as a smart hand-held scanner, transferring characters from a printed source directly into any Windows application. C Address - store and look up names, addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses. C Address is synchronized with Microsoft Outlook on your PC. C Write - write characters by using C-Pen like an ordinary ballpoint pen. C-Pen can follow its own movement over a surface and recognize the movement as a letter or numeral. This process can be very useful when searching for a contact in C Address or editing. C Beam - transfer text or data - for example phone-numbers and text files, directly from C-Pen to your PC or Palm™.
